2015 Spirit Player and Australian, Min Woo Lee is continuing his march toward the finals today at the US Junior Championship at The Honors Course in Ooltewha, TN.

Lee, 17, of Australia, made a 6-foot birdie putt to edge Frankie Capan, 16, of North Oaks, Minn., in 19 holes. Lee, whose sister, Minjee, won the 2012 U.S. Girls’ Junior and plays on the LPGA Tour, saw a 3-up advantage evaporate in the closing holes. In his second-round match, Lee, the No. 3 seed, captured eight holes with three birdies and five pars for a 7-up margin at the turn and went on to defeat Chase Furey, 17, of Los Angeles, Calif., 6 and 5.

With the field currently down to 8, Lee is currently playing a match against Brandon Gillis and is 3-up through 13. Click here for full scoring throughout the championship:
