The 2016 Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship will be held April 29-May 1 at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas. The event will be hosted by The University of Texas.

Last year, Texas took home the crown at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Okla., marking three straight titles for the Longhorns. Texas freshman Scottie Scheffler took home the individual title with a score of 280.

The Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship will determine both team and individual champions. The top 10 individual finishers each season are named to the Big 12 Championship All-Tournament Team. Five golfers shall compose a team. The lowest four scores per round from the designated five-player team will be used. Scoring will be stroke play.

The 2016 Championship will be 72 holes played over three days, 36 holes the first day and 18 holes the second and third days. The low four scores out of five over each 18 holes will determine the team championship.
