2005 Spirit Player Jason Day (Australia) goes wire-to-wire at the Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Invitational on Sunday with a short game that seems Masters ready.

At the 72nd hole, Day landed behind the green at Bay Hill’s par-4 18th hole, the Arnold Palmer Invitational title on the line. Needing to get up and down from about 30 yards to win for the first time in 2016, and with the tournament’s namesake looking on from a cart parked just behind him, Day delivered, blasting out to about 4 feet before converting the par putt for a one-shot victory at Arnie’s Place.

“I could not think of anything else other than trying to get that thing up and down,” Day said. “When it came out I knew that it was a good shot. … It was exactly what I wanted to do.”

I think we just found another Spirit alumni that’s a favorite for this years first major.
