One of the premiere amateur events on the schedule every year is the Porter Cup.  Played at the historical Niagara Falls CC in Lewiston, NY, the Porter Cup started in 1959 and has been played in the summer months of July every year since.

The list of champions is a prominent list of elite players: Phil Mickelson, David Duval, Scott Verplank, Booby Clampett and more recently, Patrick Rodgers and  (former Spirit player) Casey Wittenburg.

There is a men’s AND women’s division for the Porter Cup and we are happy to report that 2-time Spirit participant Brooke Henderson continues her reign in amateur golf by winning the women’s division earlier in June.

This week, the men will be competing for the coveted Porter Cup….and there is no shortage of former Spirit Players in the field:

-Alejandro Tosti, ARG
-Santiago Bauni, ARG
-Garrett Rank, CAN
-Sam Daley, AUS
-Christiaan Bezuidenhout, SAFR

Good luck to all the participants in this prestigious event and congratulations to Brooke!
