2009 Spirit Player Lexi Thompson is at it again.  She made birdie on the final hole to win the Lorena Ochoa Invitational by one shot on Sunday.  Thompson, now 18, has won 2 LPGA Tour events in the past five weeks.

Lexi shot a 3-under par 69 in the final round to record 72 holes at Guadalajara Country Club at 16-under par 272, one shot better than Stacy Lewis.

This week, Thompson will return to her home state of Florida where she will compete in the CME Group Titleholders and will have a special caddie on her bag.

“Yeah, I have my brother, Curtis Thompson, on my bag this week,” said Thompson. “He’s caddied for me a few other times, but he goes to LSU right now, and I’m actually going to visit him right after that week.”

Probably a good idea to keep on eye on Lexi over the next few events…she’s on a roll.
